On Friday 1st November around 20 ex Carswell Seniors met for a roll up at Hinksey Heights arranged by Roger Fletcher who is a member there. It was a grey and miserable day (both weather and golfing wise). The course including the greens were quite sodden. Nevertheless a good time was had by all. Brian Reid romped home as the winner. Old friendships were renewed. After the golf Captain Richard Tucker took the opportunity to present the Old Oaks Trophy to Ricky Braybrooke who is shortly off to Australia for his customary taste of sunshine whilst the rest of us freeze. Ricky looked appropriately surprised and pleased – in equal measure!
