Roll Up Roundup – 6th February 2018

Firstly, welcome to two new members that joined this week, Richard & Tony Belcher – we look forward to meeting them in the weeks to come.

As many of you will have noticed, Ian McDougal hasn’t graced us with his presence recently.   Ian has been undergoing treatment on his back and, while he is feeling better as a consequence, it is still too early to determine how successful it has been.   Ian’s next consultation is scheduled for early March, and I hope to be able to report good news then, but in the meantime I’m sure we all wish him well – keep us posted Ian.

Moving on, 33-brave souls risked frost-bite to their appendages on Tuesday, and almost all survived intact!!!!!!!!!!!   Turning to the all important results, there was no BoB winner this week, so next week the pot carries over to the 8th, while in the roll-up the results were as follows:

Individual Stableford
Group Position Name H’cap Score
1 1st Alan Wilkins 19.4 39 c//b
1 2nd Roger Fletcher 18.7 39 c//b
1 3rd Peter Ellen 10..4 39 c//b
2 1st David Wanless 19.9 42
2 2nd Tim Hoiles 25.4 41
2 3rd Paul Wynn 26.9 40

Next week’s roll-up is a team game – Waltz 1-2-3, but being a dad [or granddad] dancer myself, I am totally reliant on Bill’s description sheet for the rules.   As usual this will be displayed on the clubhouse bar prior while you’re signing in.

And finally, a couple of reminders:

1                     Your insurance renewal forms need to be back with Terry by then end of the month.   Unfortunately, Terry will not be at the roll-up next week but one of the committee will be press-ganged into collecting them so just ask.   Terry has previously distributed copies to one and all, and of course you can download a copy from the website and just click on the link on the home page.   I will also have some copies with me on Tuesday should you have difficulty with the website, just ask when you are signing in.

2                     Laurence has advised that we have just 4-places to fill on the Awayday at Bowood, and  if you wish to go he would appreciate you confirming your interest ASAP – again full details are on the website.   Just as importantly all monies are due on/before 27th inst at the latest, but to assist Laurence the sooner the better.

Enjoy the sunshine
